There is nothing like a Christmas wreath to get me into the spirit. December might be a dormant time in the garden for flowers but there is no shortage of eye catching foliages to be foraged and used to decorate the home. Here is a guide to making a traditional wreath using a moss base filled with evergreen foliages.

Emily and Alex’s wedding had a relaxed beachside theme with muted greys and sky blue tones used to dress the marquee. To complement this natural and gentle colour scheme they chose white and green flowers with grey foliages.

I so enjoyed designing the flowers for a romantic and whimsical wedding shoot which has been featured by Style Me Pretty wedding blog. The shoot was photographed by Zosia Zacharia and “inspired by the neo-classical venue, Parkstead House, built in the 1760s, located in south west London. Full of beautiful original features including its elegant plaster work indoors, a stunning double staircase outside, manicured grounds and neo-classical temple all of which provide the perfect back drop to any wedding”.

This was an idyllic garden wedding at Louise’s home. Louise wanted the flowers to be wild and natural to fit with the relaxed country setting and she took inspiration from the blush apricot rose bushes in her garden for the colour scheme which was a beautiful blend of apricots, blush pinks and lavenders.

Flora and Jam wanted a wash of bright tropical colours to brighten up their February wedding. On a cold, grey winter’s day this was the perfect choice, goodbye dreary London, hello the Bahamas! They married in a church in Islington with a reception in LSO St Luke’s near Old Street, a fabulous venue with a blank canvas to really make your own.
